Boost 1 Installation, Space and Electrical Requirements

Boost 1 Installation, Space and Electrical Requirements

As you prepare for the delivery of your Boost 1 treadmill, there are a number of items that we need to understand about your space that will help us plan the installation.

Dimensions

  1. Your Boost 1 treadmill is approximately 44" wide, and 75" long. On the front of the treadmill is an additional box that measures 9" long and 14" wide. The total length is 84#.
  2. It is recommended that you leave at least 12" on either side of the treadmill, 12" on the front, and 30" behind to allow for easy access.
  3. The running surface of your Boost treadmill is approximately 10" off the ground. As such, it is recommended that your ceiling is at least 8', preferably 9', depending on the height of your users.

Power Requirements:
The Boost 1 is available in two different electrical configurations.

Option 1: For 12mph and 15mph units, the Boost 1 requires two 110v NEMA 5-20R receptacles, on SEPARATE 15A circuits.

Option 2: For 18mph units, the Boost 1 requires two 220v NEMA 6-20 receptacles, which can be on the same 15A circuit.

For the Treadmill, here are some average amp draws for a 220 pound user at 0% elevation (4Front, 120v treadmill). 230v will be half these average.

2 mph = 1.5 amps.

5 mph = 4.0 amps.

8 mph = 5.0 amps.

12 mph = 8.0 amps.

15 mph = 10.0 amps.

The peak amps occur every time the runners foot lands on the running belt. We limit the peak amps to 15 amps @120v.

For the Blower, we draw a maximum of 8amps at 110v, 4amps at 220v.

*For countries outside of the US, please contact us for your specific configuration.

Site Survey:
When planning the installation of your Boost 1, we need to figure out threemain pieces of information:
  1. What kind of truck can we bring to your facility?
  2. Will we have to take the Boost 1 apart to bring it to its final position?
  3. Do you have the correct electrical configuration installed?
To help with this, we will ask you to fill out a site survey. Attached.

It is especially important to know:
  1. Does your facility have a loading dock?
  2. Have you installed the correct electrical plugs?
  3. Will the Boost 1 have to go up or down any stairs? If so, how many?
  4. Will the Boost 1 have to go through any single doors?
  5. Are there any tight turns that the Boost 1 will have to maneuver through?
  6. Are there any soft surfaces that the Boost 1 will have to travel over to get to its final location.
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact us at support@boosttreadmills.com
